Unveiling the Marketing and Communication Professional

Although I had three writing pieces published before the age of 16, I didn't discover my passion or talent for writing until college. One of my English professors in an entry level writing class pulled me aside after we had submitted our final writing project and told me that I should rethink my career. She told me that I had a talent "waiting to be discovered." Well, I didn't take our conversation lightly and decided to completely change my path in life (and my major).

I have always been the go-to person for friends and family members if they need a paper edited or checked for fluency. Upon graduating college, I knew that it was time to actually start getting paid for what I loved to do. I have a B.S. in Marketing and Professional Writing that required taking multiple rhetoric, grammar, editing, journalism, and design classes. I have 4 years professional experience as a writer, including editing, copy-writing, blogging, press releases, newsletters, news articles, web content, brochures and other promotional material, social media copy, email marketing campaigns, and a multitude of other writing pieces.

Beyond writing, I have a passion for communication, brand management, and our ever changing digital world! From public speaking to creating integrated marketing campaigns, I have a knowledge and knack for the up to date trends for both internal and external communication and marketing methods. I am currently working on my Master's degree in strategic communication to further expand my knowledge on those methods.
